Lahore: A high-level committee has been formed to investigate the case of alleged rape of a female student in a private college. The committee will collect evidence related to the alleged rape of a female student.
According to the details, Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz formed a high-level committee to investigate the case of the alleged rape of a female student in a private college in Lahore.
The statement issued said that a six-member committee will work under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary Punjab, the committee includes Secretary Home, Advocate General Punjab and Secretary Higher Education, Secretary Special Education, and Secretary Specialized Health Care Committee.
The notification says that the committee may appoint any other member to assist it while the committee will collect evidence related to the alleged molestation of the student and record the statements of the college students, teachers, and management.
The committee will review all aspects including the response of the college administration and the handling of the matter by the police.
It should be remembered that the security guard accused of allegedly raping a female student in a large private college in Lahore has been arrested. When the students protested against the incident, the police broke up, after which Gulberg and Muslim Town remained a battleground.
When the police used batons, the students broke the windows and doors of Halli Road and the main campus and damaged labs and classrooms as well. Gaye, whose investigation is ongoing, action will be taken against those responsible.
The Education Minister of Punjab said that the father of the victim student has been contacted while the registration of the college campus has been canceled.
The police has obtained all the CCTV footage of the college basement and all the footage is being checked, however, the students have given the government a quality assurance and asked that the arrested colleagues be released immediately, and action should be taken against those responsible for the rape and those behind it. Go, otherwise, they will shut down the whole of Lahore.
