New Zealand batsman Chad Bose has set the world record for the fastest double century with the help of 7 sixes and 27 fours. He completed a 103-ball double century while playing for Canterbury in the New Zealand Domestic Cricket ODI Trophy.

Chad Bose has scored the fastest List A double century.

This Ford Trophy match was played between Countrybury and Otago Volts at Hagley Oval. Playing first, Country Bree scored 343 runs for 9 wickets in 50 overs. Chad Bose completed his first century in a List A match on 53 balls and entered the list of 5 fastest centuries.

Earlier this record is held by New Zealand’s Ross Taylor who scored a century off 49 balls. However, Chad Bose scored a double century to break Jamie Howe’s 11-year-old record, which he had set for Central Districts in 2013 when he scored a 126-ball double century against Northern Districts.

It should be noted that Chad Bose has represented New Zealand in 6 ODIs and 11 T20Is and has played 99 matches in List A. However, he now also holds the record for the fastest double century.
