Israeli terrorist attacks on Lebanon continue, and confrontation with Hezbollah continues in the south.
According to a local Lebanese official, Israel has destroyed more than 70 percent of the homes in the area this year.
Footage circulating on social media showed the Israeli airstrikes destroying the neighborhood in a matter of seconds, as well as thick clouds of smoke from more than 10 simultaneous explosions in the town. This town is considered one of the major towns of Marjayoun district.
The Mayor of Mes Al-Jabal, Abdul Moneim Shaqeer, has also pointed out in a statement that the circulating video clip shows the explosions in the vicinity of the government hospital located in the outskirts of the town. The statement added that 70 percent of the town of Mes al-Jabal has been destroyed since the start of the conflict between Hezbollah and Israel a year ago. This town consisted of more than two thousand houses.
Israeli bombardment has repeatedly hit the outskirts of the town, rendering the government hospital unable to provide service for months.
It should be noted that this is not the only bombing operation in southern Lebanon, as the Israeli army announced the beginning of a limited ground operation in early October last year.
Between October 20 and October 31, Lebanon’s official news agency reported Israeli shelling of at least seven border villages. Among these villages is the town of Mohibeb, which is located on a hill and is adjacent to Mes Al-Jabal. Similarly, Kafr Kala and Al-Udaisa are also nearby.
