Rawalpindi: Leaders of Tehreek-e-Insaf who went to meet PTI founder Imran Khan were arrested by the Punjab Police, but they were released after some time.
According to sources, PTI leaders had reached Adiala Jail to meet the founder of Tehreek-e-Insaf Imran Khan.
Among those arrested were Leader of the Opposition in the Senate Shibli Faraz, Leader of the Opposition in the National Assembly Umar Ayub, former Speaker of the National Assembly Asad Qaiser and the head of the Sunni Ittehad Council Sahibzada Hamid Raza.
According to the report, apart from them, the opposition leader of the Punjab Assembly Ahmed Khan Bachhar was also detained from outside the Adiala Jail, all the leaders were detained by the Punjab Police for violating Section 144.
Sources have said that all the arrested PTI leaders were released from the Adiala outpost after some time.
