An astonishing discovery has been made in Sohawa, Tehsil Sohawa, where government medicines worth over 3 million rupees were recovered.
Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir, along with Chief Drug Controller Azhar Jamal Salimi, conducted a raid in Sohawa. During the raid, medicines worth over 3 million rupees were recovered.
According to sources from the Health Department, the recovered medicines were stolen from federal government hospitals. One suspect involved in selling government medicines in the open market has been arrested. The arrested suspect, Amir Nafeer, has been charged.
Provincial Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir stated that the theft of medicines from government hospitals was caught through digital monitoring. Further investigations into the theft of medicines are ongoing. The stolen medicines were taken from Kharian, Rawalpindi, and federal hospitals, and the Health Department and Drug Controller Authority have seized the stolen medicines.
