Peshawar High Court granted bail to opposition leader Umar Ayub and Member of National Assembly Shandana Gulzar after hearing two different petitions, Shibli Faraz also got relief.
Umar Ayub’s bail granted
The Chief Justice of Peshawar High Court, Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim, heard the petition of National Assembly Opposition Leader and PTI leader Umar Ayub’s bail application.
On this occasion, the petitioner’s lawyer informed the court that a case has been registered against Umar Ayub in Ramna police station Islamabad.
The court granted transit bail for one month and declared that Umar Ayub should not be arrested in any registered case.
Shandana Gulzar’s bail granted
The same court of Peshawar High Court heard the bail application of PTI Member National Assembly Shandana Gulzar.
On this occasion, Shandana Gulzar’s lawyer informed the court that the petitioner is a member of the National Assembly and a case has been registered against him in Islamabad. The petitioner wants to appear in the concerned court, but there is a fear of arrest.
The petitioner’s counsel said that the petitioner should be granted transitory bail so that he would appear there.
On this occasion, Chief Justice Ishtiaq Ibrahim directed the petitioner to appear before the concerned court and granted transitory bail till January 21.
Shibli Faraz’s bail granted
On the other hand, the Anti-Terrorism Court granted interim bail in the 5 cases filed on Shibli Faraz’s D Chowk protest against a bond of Rs 5,5000 till January 17.
Cases have been registered against PTI leader Senator Shibli Faraz in Margalla, Tarnool, Abpara and Kohsar police stations of Islamabad.
