According to details, an explosion occurred due to gas filling in a coal mine in the Sanjadi area of Balochistan. According to the report, this incident took place on Thursday night.
Teams of PTMA and Mines Department are busy removing the debris while 2 rescue personnel have fainted due to gas during rescue operations.
However, despite the passage of 14 hours, the rescue operation has not been completed and 12 workers are still trapped inside the mine.
In this regard, the Chief Inspector of Mines says that the explosion in the coal mine happened due to gas filling. After the blast, the mine passage was completely closed, which has been partially restored after several hours of effort.
Dipi Director Rescue says that Kankan is at a depth of about 4200 feet. Power cables have been cut inside the mine, which are being re-laid.
It should be noted that there have been many incidents of explosions in coal mines in Balochistan and KP before and many miners have been killed and dozens injured in these incidents.
