The Lahore High Court has heard a contempt of court petition against the DC for not allowing a woman to march.
According to media reports, Justice Anwar Hussain heard the petitions of Lena Ghani and others.
During the hearing, the court was told that the woman was allowed by the Deputy Commissioner Lahore to march. The government lawyer submitted a March security letter.
The letter states that a women’s march is being held in Lahore on February 12, and the participants of the women’s march should be given foolproof security. Later, the court resolved the petition after the woman’s march was allowed.
It may be recalled that on January 30, Justice Anwar Hussain of the Lahore High Court issued a notice on the contempt of court petition for not implementing the orders regarding the march and sought a report from Deputy Commissioner Syed Musa Raza.
