Islamabad: A 22-year-old female student was shot dead in the hostel of the International Islamic University in the federal capital.
According to details, the tragic incident occurred within the jurisdiction of Ramna Police Station, where an armed man entered a private hostel and shot a 22-year-old student of the Islamic University to death.
Meanwhile, police have registered a case on the complaint of the victim’s sister. According to the FIR, the accused entered the hostel around 12:30 AM. When my sister came out of her room, the unknown assailant forcibly entered the room.
The FIR further stated that the accused told everyone to remain silent and then shot my sister.
According to sources, the student was targeted at a time when her three roommates were also present in the room.
Police have started investigating the incident and are searching for the suspect. The tragic event has spread fear and panic in the hostel, and questions are being raised about the security arrangements for female students.
