During an important meeting with his Bahraini counterpart, the two sides discussed matters of mutual interest and emphasized the need to enhance security cooperation.
The discussions included bilateral collaboration in counterterrorism, anti-human trafficking, and anti-narcotics operations. Both ministers also reviewed efforts to strengthen security cooperation, address regional and global challenges, and enhance the effectiveness of the Pakistan-Bahrain Joint Security Committee.
The Bahraini Interior Minister appreciated the cooperation and coordination between the two countries in the security and other sectors. He noted that Naqvi’s visit provides an opportunity to further strengthen security ties based on the strong bilateral relationship between Bahrain and Pakistan.
Minister Mohsin Naqvi highlighted the importance of boosting cooperation between the interior ministries of both countries in the fight against drug trafficking and human smuggling.
Naqvi extended an invitation to his Bahraini counterpart to visit Pakistan and also signed the guest book at the Bahraini Ministry of Interior. Bahrain’s Deputy Interior Minister Major General Adel bin Khalifa bin Hamad, the Chief of Public Security, senior military officers, Pakistan’s Ambassador to Bahrain Saqib Rauf, Deputy Head of Mission, and other senior diplomatic officials were also present at the occasion.
