The Early Warning Center of the Meteorological Department has issued a fresh statement predicting strong chances of rain accompanied by thunder, lightning, and gusty winds in Karachi and various regions of Sindh on Friday, July 19.
According to the department, today and tomorrow, the weather in Karachi is expected to remain partly cloudy with high humidity. Daytime temperatures are likely to range between 34°C and 36°C, which could result in sultry conditions for the general public.
Furthermore, the department has warned that morning humidity levels may rise up to 80%, while in the evening, it could drop to around 65%, maintaining a sticky and uncomfortable atmosphere.
The department also reported that the monsoon system is intermittently active in several districts of Sindh, leading to rainfall in different areas. Today, there is a possibility of rain with thunder and strong winds in the districts of Dadu and Qambar Shahdadkot.
Continuing this trend, on July 18, districts such as Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Thatta, and Sujawal are also expected to experience thunderstorms and possibly heavy rain. On July 19, torrential rain is anticipated in the districts of Mirpurkhas, Hyderabad, Tando Muhammad Khan, Sanghar, Badin, Thatta, and Sujawal as part of the ongoing monsoon wave.
