The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) has confirmed that security forces killed 31 terrorists belonging to the India-backed group “Fitna al-Khawarij” in two separate intelligence-based operations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
According to the military’s media wing, the first operation was conducted on September 13 in the Lakki Marwat district, where security forces effectively targeted militant hideouts. Following an intense exchange of fire, 14 terrorists were killed.
The second operation took place on September 14 in the Bannu district. In another fierce gun battle, 17 terrorists were eliminated.
The ISPR spokesperson stated that clearance operations are still underway to completely dismantle any remaining networks of India-sponsored militants. He reaffirmed that Pakistan’s security forces are determined to root out terrorism fueled by Indian support.
It is worth noting that on September 11, 2025, security forces also carried out an operation in Lal Qila Maidan, Lower Dir, based on intelligence about the presence of Fitna al-Khawarij militants. Ten terrorists were killed in that operation. However, during the exchange of fire, seven brave soldiers embraced martyrdom while rescuing innocent civilians who the terrorists had taken hostage.
