Governor of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP), Faisal Karim Kundi, has stated that this is not the right time for political rallies, emphasizing that such gatherings will not secure the release of PTI founder. Speaking to the media, the governor remarked that rallies place an unnecessary burden on taxpayers’ money, adding that participants are often brought in on rent for such shows of strength.
Kundi further said that KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur must present a clear and unified policy, as contradictory statements are emerging from the provincial government. According to him, one official makes a statement while another says something different, creating confusion for both the public and institutions.
Highlighting the province’s fragile security situation, the governor stressed the need for a clear stance from the government. He said that while the province enjoys autonomy, it must clearly decide whether it stands with the state institutions or with the terrorists.
Governor Kundi added that the people of KP have made great sacrifices for peace, but unfortunately, the chief minister himself seems unaware of what is happening in the province. He noted that the public is living in uncertainty, as the government has so far failed to provide a clear roadmap.
