A delegation of experts from the industrial and agricultural sectors and the business community met the Prime Minister, in which Shahbaz Sharif said that additional electricity will be provided to the industrial and agricultural sectors for the entire year for the next 3 years at a concessional price of Rs. 22.98 per unit. This concessional electricity will be available from November 2025 to October 2028.
He further said that additional units will be provided by reducing the price of units received by the industrial sector at Rs 34 and the agricultural sector at Rs 38, and the burden of electricity provided under the Roshan Sanahid electricity package will not fall on domestic consumers or any other sector.
The Prime Minister reminded that under the package given last year, the industrial and agricultural sectors used 410 GW of additional electricity, which kept the wheel of industry running, increased exports and created employment opportunities. He said that when industry and agriculture develop, the country will get rid of its debts.
