PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar has stated that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf has never launched an attack on any province, nor does the party intend to take such a step in the future. Addressing a public gathering in Peshawar, he said that the outcome of the Haripur by-election has once again disappointed the party, but PTI’s political struggle will continue with the same determination.
Chief Minister Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Suhail Afridi remarked that certain elements do not want the rule of law and constitutional supremacy in the country. He added that the government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa will remain peaceful but will not surrender its legitimate rights.
Meanwhile, PTI leader Asad Qaiser, speaking in Swabi, alleged that serious irregularities took place in the Haripur by-election, casting doubts on the transparency of the electoral process.
He criticized the federal government’s economic policies, stating that they have completely failed and that the unemployment rate has risen to 7.1%. Referring to a recent IMF statement, he claimed that corruption worth Rs 5,300 billion occurred over the past three years and demanded that NAB conduct an independent investigation into this major financial scandal.
