Karachi Mayor Murtaza Wahab visited the home of three-year-old Ibrahim, who recently lost his life in a tragic incident, and personally met the bereaved family to offer his apology and condolences.
Speaking to the media after the visit, Mayor Wahab said he deeply understands the pain and grief Ibrahim’s parents and family are experiencing. He prayed for patience and strength for the affected family, adding that during his visit he formally apologized to them, and despite their immense loss, the family received him with remarkable grace and patience.
The mayor stated that he accepted responsibility for the incident without indulging in any blame game. He acknowledged that as mayor, he was unable to fulfill his duties effectively in this instance, but emphasized that his priority now is to ensure that such an unfortunate incident never happens again.
Murtaza Wahab further said that Ibrahim’s family has expressed their sincere wish that no other child or family should have to suffer a similar tragedy. He added that the family is seeking accountability and an apology from the administration and the government, urging them to take measures so that such incidents can be prevented in the future.
