Rawalpindi: A meeting has been arranged between PTI founder Imran Khan and Bushra Bibi in Adiala Jail.
A private TV report quoted prison sources as saying that various people met with Imran Khan on the scheduled day of the meetings, including his wife, Bushra Bibi.
Sources say that, in light of the court’s instructions, Advocate Salman Safdar was also allowed to meet Imran Khan. According to reports, Bushra Bibi met Salman Safdar first, after which the lawyer also had a detailed meeting.
Salman Safdar has been appointed as Friend of the Court by the Supreme Court and has been directed to submit a report on the situation in Imran Khan’s jail.
Speaking briefly to the media outside Adiala Jail after the meeting, Salman Safdar said that he was given full access as per the court order and was present for about 3 hours. He described Imran Khan’s health as satisfactory and said that further comment would not be appropriate until the report is submitted to the Supreme Court.
This development has gained significant attention in political circles, while legal experts are calling it part of the judicial oversight process.
