Aleema Khan has stated that Imran Khan sent a message from jail saying that he is unable to see properly and that his eye condition is concerning, therefore his personal doctors should be granted immediate access to examine him. She described the matter as serious and called for urgent medical attention.
She further demanded that until Imran Khan’s personal physicians are allowed to conduct a direct medical examination, she will not trust any official position or statement issued by the authorities. According to her, the family is not satisfied with the official explanations provided so far.
Speaking to the media near Dahgal Naka close to Adiala Jail, Aleema Khan said that she was once again not allowed to meet Imran Khan. She claimed that the founding chairman of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf is being kept in solitary confinement and that the family remains deeply concerned about his health.
She demanded that a complete and detailed medical examination of Imran Khan be conducted in the presence of family members and his personal doctors so that the actual situation can be clarified. She stated that until he is shifted to a hospital and a comprehensive medical report is released, they will not accept any assurances.
On the occasion, Imran Khan’s sister Dr Uzma Khan said that if he is suffering from any illness, it should be disclosed to the public rather than being concealed. She emphasized that the family must be informed about Imran Khan’s true medical condition, as he is currently imprisoned in Adiala Jail.
