The Meteorological Department has issued an alert for Karachi and across Sindh, warning that a westerly weather system is expected to enter southwestern Balochistan today, bringing widespread weather changes.
According to the department, rainfall is expected from today until April 4 in Karachi, Jamshoro, Dadu, Larkana, Qambar Shahdadkot, Sukkur, Khairpur, Kashmore, Jacobabad, Matiari, Tharparkar, Umerkot, Badin, Thatta, Hyderabad, and other areas.
The department stated that thunderstorms and strong winds are likely across Sindh, with moderate to heavy rainfall and possible hailstorms in some locations, urging citizens to take precautionary measures.
It warned that strong winds, hail, and lightning may cause damage to electric poles, solar panels, billboards, and standing crops.
For Karachi, light rain and drizzle are expected today, while thunderstorms are likely tomorrow. Cloudy weather with chances of light rain and drizzle is also forecast for Friday.
