A high-level Iranian delegation has arrived in Islamabad for important negotiations with the United States, marking a significant development in regional diplomatic engagement.
According to the Foreign Office spokesperson, the Iranian delegation is being led by the Speaker of the Iranian Parliament, Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, while Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi has also reached Islamabad along with the delegation to participate in the key negotiations.
The Foreign Office stated that the delegation was warmly received by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar, while Speaker of the National Assembly Sardar Ayaz Sadiq, Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, and Federal Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi were also present on the occasion.
The spokesperson added that Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar expressed hope that all parties would carry forward the negotiations in a constructive manner and achieve positive and meaningful outcomes.
Pakistan has once again reaffirmed its commitment to continue facilitating efforts aimed at achieving a sustainable and lasting resolution to regional conflicts, while actively contributing to peace in the region.
