There is a strong likelihood of a significant increase in petrol prices in Pakistan once again, with projections suggesting that the price may exceed the historic level of 400 rupees per litre, raising public concern.
According to reports, a sudden and sharp increase has been recorded in global crude oil prices, which is expected to lead to a substantial rise in petroleum product prices in Pakistan, with impacts likely to reflect soon in the local market.
Brent crude prices have reportedly crossed the level of 110 dollars per barrel, further increasing the chances of a rise in domestic petrol prices, which could directly affect consumers.
