Peshawar Zalmi delivered an impressive performance in the final of Pakistan Super League Season 11, defeating Hyderabad Kingsmen to claim the championship title.
In the decisive match played at Gaddafi Stadium Lahore, Peshawar Zalmi successfully chased the target of 130 runs in the 15th over with the loss of 5 wickets. Aaron Hardie played a crucial unbeaten innings of 56 runs, while Abdul Samad contributed 48 runs, playing a key role in securing victory, with Farhan Yousuf remaining not out on 4 runs.
During the chase, Kusal Mendis scored 9, Mohammad Haris 6, and Michael Bracewell 4 runs, while captain Babar Azam was dismissed without scoring.
Earlier, after winning the toss, Peshawar Zalmi captain Babar Azam opted to field first, inviting Hyderabad Kingsmen to bat. Moaz Sadaqat and captain Marnus Labuschagne opened the innings, but Sadaqat was dismissed early after scoring 11 runs.
Labuschagne and Saim Ayub took the total to 51, but Labuschagne was dismissed for 20 runs, while Usman Khan scored 8. Irfan Khan and Kusal Perera scored 1 run each, and Glenn Maxwell was dismissed for a duck.
Hassan Khan scored 12 before being caught off Aaron Hardie, Hunain Shah managed 9 runs, while Saim Ayub was the top scorer with 54 runs, and Akif Javed added 5 runs.
For Peshawar Zalmi, Aaron Hardie took 4 wickets, Nahid Rana claimed 2, while Sufiyan Muqeem and Mohammad Basit took one wicket each.
