People’s Party Chairman Bilawal Bhutto says that there is no doubt that Mansoor Ali Shah will be the next Chief Justice on October 26, 2024.
Bilawal Bhutto, while giving an interview to a private TV channel, said that there will be an effort to restore the method of judicial appointment in the 18th Amendment.
He said that PPP and JUIF are preparing their draft, and will share and try to agree on a consensus draft.
The PP Chairman said that neither the Parliament is functioning properly nor the judicial system, had to wait for 50 years for justice in the murder case of Shaheed Bhutto.
Bilawal Bhutto Zardari said that there are 15% political cases in the Supreme Court, but they take 90% of the time.
He said that the common man does not get justice even in the High Court, there is a need for judicial reforms in Pakistan, and the Truth and Reconciliation Commission was left under the Charter of Democracy.
Bilawal Bhutto said that according to the party manifesto NAB and judicial reforms were left, People’s Party wants to fulfill the promise of democratic charter.
The PP chairman said that in which world does the court say that the price of tomatoes and potatoes will be fixed, which court in the world builds a dam, if the court will do all these things then who will give justice to the common man?
Bilawal Bhutto said that which judge in the world says that he was born in Karachi and wants to see the same Karachi.
Bilawal said that our effort was to adopt a positive role in the PTI opposition, but the statement of the PTI leadership sabotaged the talks with the opposition parties and us.
He said that the PTI leadership made such a terrible statement which is a crime of contempt of court and sedition. PTI has not clarified whether it made this statement or not. It is difficult for us and PML-N that PTI Discuss the constitutional amendment with their input.
