PTI founder Imran Khan approached Islamabad High Court not to hand himself into military custody for a military court trial in May 9 cases.
On behalf of Imran Khan, a petition was filed in the Islamabad High Court through lawyer Uzair Karamat Bhandari, in which the Law Secretary, the Interior Secretary, and the Federation have been made parties.
Apart from this, IG Islamabad, IG Punjab, DG FIA, and IG Prisons have also been made parties to the petition.
The petition sought to prevent the PTI founder from being handed over to military custody and ensure that the PTI founder remains in civilian courts and under civilian custody.
