Rawalpindi: In various operations of ANF, drugs worth more than 58 lakh rupees were recovered.
According to the spokesman of the Anti-Narcotics Force, the anti-narcotics trafficking crackdown is ongoing across the country, during which 11 suspects were arrested in 10 operations and 32.914 kg of hashish worth more than 58 lakh rupees was recovered.
Authorities recovered 24 grams of weed from a parcel sent from the UK at a courier office in Rawalpindi. On the other hand, 12 kg of hashish hidden in a vehicle near M1 Motorway Islamabad was recovered and 2 suspects were arrested.
Apart from this, in another operation near M1 Motorway in Islamabad, 1.2 kg of hashish was recovered from the accused. Meanwhile, 10 kg of hashish hidden in an uninhabited area of Jiwani in Gwadar was recovered. Similarly, 6 kg of hashish was recovered from the possession of the accused near Mehria Town, Attock.
In 3 operations near Iqbal Shaheed Toll Plaza GT Road Attock, 120 narcotic pills, 290 opium, and 136 grams of hashish were recovered from the possession of 3 suspects. 1.2 kg hashish was recovered from the accused near Satellite Town in Rawalpindi, while 2 kg heroin was recovered from a trolley bag in Sohrab Goth Al Asif Square Karachi and 3 accused were arrested.
A case under the Anti-Narcotics Act has been registered against the accused arrested in all the operations and an investigation has been started.
