According to sources, Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will arrive in Pakistan after completing his visits to Malaysia and Indonesia. During his stay, he will hold meetings with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and other senior political leaders.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif and President Erdoğan will jointly chair the Pakistan-Turkey High-Level Strategic Council meeting, where discussions will take place on regional and international issues, including the situation in Gaza and the Middle East.
In recent years, Pakistan and Turkey have strengthened their bilateral strategic partnership, particularly in the defense sector. Pakistan has been purchasing military ships and drones from Turkey, further enhancing cooperation between the two nations.
Pakistan is the first country to acquire warships under Turkey’s MILGEM project and has already purchased advanced Akinci, Bayraktar, and TB-2 drones from Turkey. Both nations are also working together on a fifth-generation fighter jet project (TF-X) and have agreed to establish its assembly line in Pakistan.
This visit is expected to further boost defense collaboration and trade relations between Pakistan and Turkey.
