The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has officially announced the schedule for local body elections in Quetta.
According to the notification issued by the commission, polling will take place on December 28, 2025. Candidates contesting for general seats in urban union councils have been instructed to submit their nomination papers between November 13 and November 17.
The ECP has directed the district administration and relevant institutions to complete all necessary arrangements to ensure transparent and peaceful elections.
It is worth noting that local body elections in Quetta have been delayed for a long time.
Political analysts believe that these elections will provide citizens with greater opportunities for representation at the local level and help improve the resolution of civic issues.
