The Meteorological Department has forecast a significant reduction in heat intensity in Karachi, bringing relief to residents as sea breezes return and weather conditions begin to improve.
According to details, after a recent heatwave, weather patterns are shifting, with officials confirming a drop in temperatures and the restoration of sea winds, which are expected to ease the heat.
Spokesperson Anjum Nazir stated that temperatures had reached 39.5 degrees Celsius on April 12, leaving residents severely affected, but sea breezes have now resumed, helping moderate the weather.
He added that no extreme heat is expected over the next 8 to 10 days, with temperatures likely to remain around 35 degrees Celsius.
The department also noted that temperatures may drop further by 1 to 2 degrees on April 16, while cloud cover may reduce the perceived intensity of heat.
Additionally, a new system of western winds is expected to enter the country from April 16, bringing rain, hailstorms, and strong winds to northern areas, with slight weather changes also expected in parts of Sindh.
