According to the seismic monitoring center, the earthquake measured 5.2 on the Richter scale, with a depth of 128 kilometers. Experts stated that the epicenter was located in the border region between Tajikistan and China, and its effects were felt in Islamabad and nearby areas.
Meanwhile, tremors were also felt in Azad Kashmir, where the earthquake registered a magnitude of 3.6 with a depth of 25 kilometers, and its epicenter was located southeast of Muzaffarabad.
Fortunately, no loss of life or property has been reported from either Islamabad or Azad Kashmir, while relevant authorities continue to monitor the situation closely.
Officials said that rescue teams have been placed on high alert following the tremors, although no reports of structural damage have been received so far.
Experts have advised citizens to remain calm during earthquakes and ensure safety measures, while avoiding rumors and relying only on verified sources for information.
Authorities confirmed that the situation has now returned to normal, with no immediate threat, and citizens can continue their daily activities as usual.
