Rawalpindi: The Pakistan Navy has seized a large consignment of drugs worth USD 1 million during another successful operation in the North Arabian Sea.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations of the Pakistan Army (ISPR), the PNS assistant conducted a boarding operation on the suspicious boat with the help of naval air assets, in which a large quantity of narcotics was recovered from the drug caches. These drugs are worth around US$ 1 million in the international market and were being tried to be smuggled through the sea to various destinations.
ISPR said that the Pakistan Navy is always ready to prevent illegal activities in the territorial waters of the region and such operations are part of its commitment.
This operation is a continuation of the anti-narcotics operation carried out by the Pakistan Navy in October last year with the Combined Task Force 150 in the North Arabian Sea, in which 1,300 kg of hashish, worth Rs 2 crore in the global market, was recovered from a suspected boat. It was 6 million dollars.
These achievements of the Pakistan Navy are not only helping to strengthen the security in the maritime borders but are also playing an important role in the efforts to stop drug trafficking at the global level.
