The trend of online shopping in Pakistan appears to be weakening, according to the latest survey conducted by Gallup and Gillani.
The survey reveals that 91 percent of people across the country did not make any online purchases during the past 6 months. Among those who did shop online, 60 percent preferred cash on delivery as their payment method, indicating limited trust in digital payment systems.
According to the findings, clothing accounted for the highest share of online purchases at 30 percent, while watches emerged as the second most popular category. Other product categories showed comparatively lower demand.
The survey also included a social question, in which 49 percent of respondents said that if given the chance to live one day as a famous personality, they would prefer to be a religious leader or an intellectual. Additionally, 34 percent of participants identified trust as the most important factor in maintaining relationships.
