The health condition of former Bangladesh Prime Minister Khaleda Zia has further deteriorated, prompting doctors to shift her to a ventilator, where she is currently under continuous medical observation.
According to Bangladeshi media reports, the medical board stated that Khaleda Zia is suffering from severe respiratory distress along with multiple additional medical complications, which have made her overall condition extremely critical.
Doctors said that ventilator support became essential to maintain her respiratory function, while other vital organs, including the heart, lungs, and kidneys, are also being provided medical support. The medical team is using various treatment methods and support systems in an effort to stabilize her worsening condition.
Reports added that the 80-year-old leader was admitted to the hospital on November 23 due to heart and lung infections. Since her admission, her medical complications have gradually increased. Doctors have described her condition as critical and said that the coming days will be crucial for her recovery.
