In a key decision aimed at improving the quality of education, the Sindh government has approved making the teaching license test mandatory for future teacher recruitment during the 19th board meeting of the Sindh Teachers Education Development Authority, chaired by Provincial Education Minister Syed Sardar Ali Shah.
The meeting decided to give central importance to the teaching license test as a benchmark for assessing professional competence, while the next phase of the test is scheduled to be held in September this year to allow candidates adequate preparation time.
The meeting was attended by Secretary of School Education Zahid Ali Abbasi, Executive Director Syed Rasool Bakhsh Shah, social figure Shehzad Roy, and other board members, where various proposals to improve educational standards were discussed.
Participants emphasized the need to ensure transparency and merit in the recruitment process by adopting modern and effective mechanisms to further enhance teaching standards in educational institutions.
